I feel a bit sorry for Brothers. The Philadelphia area is one of the top places in America, if not the best, to get pizza. With so much competition, it is tough to stand out. Brothers, while very good pizza does not. I would certainly eat here before getting chain pizza, but with better choices nearby, I won't be back. The pizza tastes just fine, and the service is fine. One bonus is they have a very good take-out beer selection. There are places to sit, and receive waitress service. That is a bonus too. There was a little league baseball team here the last time I visited and the place was plenty big to accomodate the team.

Pizza is always crisp and delicious. Management is personable and takes pride in their work. Beer garden provides great variety. Have visited 10+ times and always very satisfied.

I've only had their pizza and it's pretty good. Thin crust and fresh ingredients. I think it's the best pizza in the area and they have some competition with 2 other pizza joints within 2 blocks away. When we pick up the staff is always friendly they get to you right away and let you know the status if you have to wait a few minutes or so but that doesn't happen too often. It's been a while since we have eaten in but we never had a problem with our service. If you like beer they have a good selection and you can take a six pack to go.

My grandson has celiac and this restaurant serves delicious pasta that he loves. Not a large menu in gluten free but enough for my grandson. All the food is very good and the have a huge menu including sandwiches, pizza, pasta, etc. delicious desserts and large assortment of beers. Restaurant is always clean and the Waite staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The owner goes out of his way to stop by your table to see if you are happy with your visit. I've never been disappointed.

I have to say I have been to Brother's a handful of times and I have never ordered their Pizza, until last night. It came out of the oven nice and hot and I was surprised to see a thin crust pizza. In my mind I was thinking Greek pizza and my expectations were not very high. Boy was I delighted when i put the first slice on my plate. The pizza was awesome it had the perfect combo of sauce to cheese. I think we found our new Pizza place in the area. They have a beer garden with about 7-8 refrigerators full of beer where you can mix your own 6 pack for about $15, a little more pricier then other Beer gardens but why you are there why not. They also have about 5-6 beers on tap. There is parking for about 10 cars in their lot and there are plenty of tables inside to eat. Typical pizza shop food with steaks, hoagies, appetizers and pasta dishes. We like to go for lunch during the weekend, If you are in the area and are looking for a good meal, give Brothers a shot, you will not be disappointed.

Have been coming here for years both at this location and when it was across the street. Pizza by the slice or order a whole pie to go. I especially like their spenzerati, an inside out pizza that is baked, not fried, so it does not feel like a lead balloon in your stomach an hour later. Nice, thin-but:-chewy crust.

Cheese steak was very very below average, bad roll also. Fries were soggy, no one wants a soggy fry. Cordon Bleu Bites were good, but $5.75 for 5 cordon bleu bites is awful. My suggestion would be to stick with the pizza. Was very disappointed in my order.

They charged me $1.75 for tap water with my meal! I was really outraged, the server could have at least warned me! The pizza was not fresh, the soup, however, was tasty. I won't be going back!

Used to be better when Vince cooked. Since brothers moved to new location, they are not to good anymore. I don't know if I'll be going there anymore Parking stinks ! !

This is our go-to takeout pizza. The crust is always good, the toppings are done right, and the pizza always tastes good. It's a little pricy for a large pie with two toppings but otherwise, it's a hit. We've had various other things from Brothers over the past decade and you can figure you'll enjoy whatever you order. The strombolis and antipasto are good. Oh, and the sweet fried dough is simple, fun, and delicious!

I really struggled with what rating I wanted to give this place, a place I grew up on and used to know so well. This was my family's regular "go to" on a Friday night and the pizza couldn't be beat. When I got older I'd take the trolley down and meet up with friends for a slice as well. Now as an adult, I'm no longer impressed. My fiance and I finished picking out his tux at Saget's across the street for our upcoming wedding & I suggested Brothers because I hadn't had it in so long & it was right there. My mistake. I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad w/extra dressing, my fiance got a Pork Sandwich special of the night, and we got fries to share. It took more than 10 mins just to order in the first place, as the cashier seemed completely overwhelmed, even though it was just us & a guy buying beer. She kept HACKING over and over again, and then grabbed stuff with her bare hands; I really should've turned back at that point. There was another cashier that didn't seem like pleased with her either, but she also wasn't running to help take our order. Finally, when the hacker was ready for our order, she kept yelling and hitting the register and saying it didn't work; because hitting it would clearly fix the issue. We walked to the other side of the counter to another register. I had to repeat my order over & over again, VERY slowly as she wasn't comprehending what I was saying. I ordered the sandwich first, & for some reason it already was showing a total of over $19?! I asked why it said that & she gave me an attitude. She said she had to manually type every order in & the computer messed it up. She fixed the price issue & said "is that better for you?" The condescending attitude wasn't necessary. It was around 30 mins later that we finally got our order, but in the meantime there was nowhere to sit because they filled up the old seating area with tons of refrigerated beer, so we ended up standing the whole time. Once we got our food we headed out the door, but I checked my salad to see about my extra dressing. I didn't. I went back inside & let the hacker know that I didn't get extra dressing. She said they give you a bigger container of dressing, so that's the extra dressing. If that's extra, I'd hate to see the regular size. She nicely gave me two tiny extra dressings and I was on my way. So, my "Caesar" Salad, was not a real Caesar. It had carrots & cabbage in it, along with iceberg lettuce. Anyone with half a brain can tell you that it's clearly bagged salad to which some fresh romaine was thrown in. The chicken tasted good, but it was a big hunk of chicken, to which I had to break down with a carving knife. My three containers of dressing were delish! The fries were crispy, but lacked in salt and once out of the fryer you can't just add salt. My fiance said the Pork Sandwich was good, but definitely not worth the $9.50 price tag, especially considering it was thrown on a regular olde hoagie roll. I'm sorry to say, my old childhood pizzeria is no longer a favorite of mine. Oh, and my total? $23.00.

The food here is just not good. The owner is from Italy and should be ashamed of himself for what he promotes as Italian cuisine. This place is just another "Delco Dud" it's really hard to find good eats locally here in Delco. I miss South Philly

Definitely my go-to for pizza in the neighborhood. I like how saucy it is, and the toppings are usually good (though the bacon can be a little fatty sometimes.) The service is quick and friendly, even if the prices are a little high (but really, what pizza is really cheap these days?) I've had some of their sandwiches and other entrees before, and they were all good--maybe no the best I've ever had but still good. You can't beat how fast they have everything ready, either. Definitely the best pizza in DH, in my humble opinion.

My husband and I get food delivered all the time. I decided to take the kids I work with for lunch today. The place is nicely decorated with comfy outside seating. Too bad I was with minors, I would have had a pint! The food was excellent. Since my husband and I moved to Drexel Hill, coming from the city, we've been pretty disappointed with our local food selection. This place saved the day! The pizza is outstanding. The kids had spaghetti and meatballs. I tasted, of course, and the sauce was delicious. Needless to say, I won't be solely getting delivery from this.place anymore!

Brothers has been a favorite since my family moved to Drexel Hill 14 years ago. Best pizza in the entire area (the only edible pizza, in my opinion) and everything else is great too. See the same, friendly faces when we are there and get the same great service. Now offering gluten-free options, also!! As another reviewer said, I have never had a bad meal or a bad experience.

I've been to Brother's a ton of times growing up- revisited today on the way to my mom's and although the food was pretty good- the service was just OK. Our waitress made eye contact with us several times but she was obviously overwhelmed with the three other tables in the WHOLE PLACE- the owner lady (husband and wife duo) was helping to seat and bus tables. They have a decent beer selection, allowing for mix and match six packs and offer all of the standard Italian fare. Of course we'll go back but perhaps we'll stick to take out.

Love this place. Always good service and good food. The best buffalo chicken pizza! Cannoli are the best I've ever had. Love the family atmosphere.

I am a huge pizza fan. Went to this place for 2 slices, never tasted pizza like this in my life. Never again! The pizza was VERY salty, it tasted like they literally sprinkled salt on my slices. I am assuming it was the sauce but bottom line it was awful. Sorry I would not recommend this place.

A nice spot in Drexel Hill. We ordered the margherita pizza. The crust was excellent--thin, crispy. The mozzarella and basil were fresh, and the sauce was also clearly homemade and tasty, if a couple dashes too salty for my salt-free palate (no Lot's wife me). We also ordered a salad, and instead of the usual "cheesesteak salad" most pizza places give you (ie, whatever shredded greenery they put on their hoagies gets dumped into a bowl and named "salad") this was a bona fide salad, with radishes, cucumbers, red cabbage, tomatoes, and torn chunks of lettuce. The owner, a very friendly person, worked the counter and she was happy to explain the ingredients, cooking process, etc. Along with their dining/carryout menu, they have a great carryout beer selection (their order of Oktoberfest and Punkn had just arrived), as well as some good-looking homemade Italian soups (pasta e faglioli, Italian meatball; spinach and navy bean). Customers in the place were big fans, letting me know how great the food was and what to try. They have a parking lot (always a plus) and a nice area for dining in, though we chose carryout.

Brothers has been a part of my Drexel Hill life since I was a youngster - dating back to when they were in the strip across the street. Part hangout/part takeout - they fit the bill for me. They and I have both since moved but I was lucky enough to enjoy a delicious pizza last weekend and I was reminded of why I love them so much. Unlike many of their local counterparts - they actually make good pizza. Its not imitation, gross crust-ed stuff, its the real deal, grease drippings and all. On this visit we had a pepperoni pizza and a roast beef special to go but I was intrigued by the soups and chili in the freezer case to take to-go. I would definitely try one of those next time I am in the area to take home with me. Over the years I have had some of the usual pizza shop items here - cheese steaks, chicken cheese steaks, chicken fingers, fries, etc. and everything has been tasty and definitely a notch above the other contenders in the area. As others have mentioned - Brothers has a nice beer selection and you can also dine in. I have never had reason to eat in and probably won't be hanging out there as I did in my younger years but it looks nice enough and the people dining in on my last visit seemed happy and well fed. In the hunt for good local pizza when I am visiting my family, I often overlook this place - thanks for the reminder, Brother!

Mozzarella has mildew smell. I've had the mozz fries, pizza slice, and calzone; they all have that smell. It's like they clean the cheese tub with a dirty washcloth. Not recommended.

Best family place in Drexel Hill to get lunch or dinner. Best pizza in Delaware county...wonderful owners who are on site every night to make sure your meal is prepared correctly.

I have been going to Brother's Pizza for as long as I can remember. A local "Mom & Pop" pizzeria, the food is solid. The pizza is fresh and tasty. They use nice chunky tomato sauce and a good sauce to cheese ratio (hard to find!). Although most of their business comes from take out pizza, (especially on Fridays), they have pretty darn good fish entrees. Brothers also has my favorite comfort food meal: Chicken Parm platter. Yum. The owners, Vincent and Antoinette are almost always there with a smile to ask about your family or why you haven't been in recently. The staff are mostly locals; a lot of high schoolers end up working here at some point. Also, for a small pizza place, their beer selection is pretty darn good when you need a 6 pack

The pizza was really good and the service was extremely fast and friendly. I just got take-out but the employees are friendly locals and very polite. The pizza was a little greasy for my tastes, but it wasn't bad. Best pizza place I have found so far in the area for sure.

Food is not bad but not great either. A family neighborhood joint that is slowly trying to establish itself as more of a bistro type place. Pizza is OK and better than nearby Jano's but still not something to write home about. Service is quick and generally friendly.

Tried this place again. The margherita pizza wasn't worthy of name -- virtually no basil.

Brothers is a nice clean restaurant combining typical take-out fare with some Italian specialties. The food is good, but not necessarily the best in town. It is a family-friendly environment (crayon packs for the kids, food comes quickly), and has a parking lot as well as seasonal outdoor seating. Eat-in or take-out, but no delivery as of this writing.

What a hidden gem! Located in Drexel Hill, but when you step inside it is romantic, modern, and sophisticated. And that is just the decor. The food was very reasonably priced, and the exceeded expectation. Every dish at our table was hot and fresh, with exceptional flavor; I ordered the simplest of dish pasta with marinara, and the sauce was to die for! The service was exceptional; between the servers and the owners, I felt very taken care of. This was my first time and I will definitely be back; a great spot to meet with friends.

So expensive for low quality food. Our food was so bad we couldn't eat it. Wings were all fat and veins. Eggplant parm was mush. Called to complain and didn't seem like they wanted any criticism. $40 for eggplant, wings, and chicken cheesesteak, all of which none was eaten. We threw out everything. The owner offered to give us something else off the menu. From what we had already seen, we obviously didn't want anything. Waste of $40. Im attaching pictures.

I've heard so many things about Brothers but this was the first time I've had a chance to come here. My cousin asked me to meet her up here and we decided to come in for a quick bite. Now the first thing that gets to you is the ambience of the place. This is a very modern decor that they seemed to have put a lot of thought into so that it would fit for every customer, casual and otherwise. While that's all good, it's the food that takes it over a notch. The philly cheese steak was very good. My cousin had a pizza which I didn't like very much. I was surprised by that since they specialize in pizza place after all. So I'll deduct a star there but otherwise the food, decor and service was good!!

I've visited this restaurant almost 100 times. I just had an awesome cheesesteak for dinner and was able to get my favorite beer (stone IPA) at the same time. This place is a go to in Drexel Hill. Antoinette is super nice and the beer garden puts them above and beyond their competition.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
